Buzz Palmer is one of Australia’s leading and most visible voices in entrepreneurship and MedTech innovation. Buzz is the CEO of STC Australia and the Actuator (Australia’s National MedTech Accelerator), founding partner in Dialectica Group, serial entrepreneur and inaugural Professor & Executive Director of Entrepreneurship at Monash University. Buzz is a passionate technologist who enjoys mentoring startups execute on their strategy and commercialisation journey.

Buzz is a dynamic business leader with a track record of entrepreneurial success in medical technologies and Biotech. Primarily, Buzz is focused on the translation of next-generation technologies, creating and leading innovative commercial and technology solutions into new markets. With experience from start-ups to large corporations across the EU, North America, India, Arabian Gulf and Asia-Pacific, he brings a global perspective on business, entrepreneurship, and product development. With a PhD in orthopaedic regenerative medicine and microsurgery, Buzz is ideally positioned to strategically drive innovative medical technology solutions that provide a significant impact on society.

Buzz also holds the positions of strategic advisor for the European Commission, sits on the NHMRC Health Innovation Advisory Council, Council Member of the Australian Federal Governments Global Innovation Linkage program, and advisor on the Victorian Government’s Innovation Expert Panel. Buzz also holds a number of start-up board positions, industry/academic committees and government working groups within Australia and globally.

Michelle Gallaher

Ms Michelle Gallaher is Co-Founder and Creative Director at The Social Science. Her expertise encompasses healthcare and biotechnology having worked in biotech start-ups, major teaching hospitals, research organisations and pharmaceutical companies throughout her 20+ year career.

As former CEO of the BioMelbourne Network, Michelle developed an international professional network. Passionate about small business and entrepreneurship, Michelle is an influential advocate for women in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine (STEMM).

Michelle is also a TEDx Melbourne alumni, an avid blogger and tweeter, and regularly speaks on innovation in Australia and women in leadership. She is Co-Founder and Creative Director of Women in STEMM Australia and is keen to encourage more women in STEMM to become entrepreneurs and innovators.

Stephanie Siomos

A former Mentone Girls’ Grammar student and inaugural member of Enterprise Academy, Stephanie Siomos is a commerce student at Monash University, majoring in Finance and Economics. She is passionate about financial literacy and entrepreneurship, working in the financial planning industry part-time and serving on the committee of the Monash Accounting Students’ Association.

Her personal involvement in the school’s enterprise activities as a student and as a volunteer places her in an advantageous position as a member of the Enterprise Academy Advisory Board. Stephanie is also a self-confessed technology fiend and is particularly interested in seeing how technology can assist in the school’s enterprise initiatives, and in entrepreneurial endeavours in general.
